Analyses of oils and fats with CDR FoodLab®
The CDR FoodLab® system is the ideal solution for carrying out analyses of oils and fats for quality control on production lines in real time. That's why it is used by many food industries around the world.
What can you analyse?
With CDR FoodLab®, chemical analyses can be performed of all types of oils and fats of animal and vegetable origin. The sample can be analysed in the unaltered state or after a simple preparation set up by CDR laboratories.
The analyses that can be carried out are:
- Free Fatty Acids in 1 minute
- Peroxide Value in 4 minutes
- p-Anisidine Value in 2 minutes
- Soaps in 2 minutes
With CDR FoodLab® you can carry out analyses of all vegetable oils and animal fats. Some examples:
Butter and margarine
The instrument allows rapid analysis of food matrices such as butter or margarine with a very simple sample preparation.
Natural oils
The CDR FoodLab® system is ideal for oils produced from plants and for various uses: cosmetics, functional foods, nutritional use, pharmaceutical use. These include almond oil, rapeseed oil (canola oil) or soybean oil.
Oils for energy use (biofuels or biodiesel)
The quality of oils for energy use, such as biofuels or biodiesel, can be assessed.
Precious oils and essential or cosmetic oils
The CDR FoodLab® analysis system is appreciated by producers of these types of oils because of its ability to carry out rapid analyses with a small sample quantity.
